Banorte Projects Economic Growth of Up to 3% for Aguascalientes by 2026
Banorte forecasts Aguascalientes' economic growth to reach 2.5-3% by 2026, exceeding the national estimate, driven by strong regional indicators and highlighting strategic resource management.
Banorte projects Aguascalientes’ economic growth to be between 2.5% and 3% in 2026, surpassing the national estimate, according to the analysis presented by the bank’s regional executive,
. The financial representative detailed that the estimations consider macroeconomic variables such as the exchange rate, inflation, and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) performance.”For 2026, we project an exchange rate of 18.16, an annual inflation rate of 4.4 percent, a national Gross Domestic Product projection of 1 percent, and for Aguascalientes, we are projecting Gross Domestic Product growth of 2.5 to 3 percent.”
Duarte explained that the bank’s internal indicators demonstrate dynamism in the regional economy, particularly in bank deposits.”Today, in this region, we have approximately 40 billion pesos in deposits… we grew by 12 percent. This represents a very positive growth factor.”
The executive also referred to the performance of the real estate sector and formal employment as signals of economic activity.”Today, we have average monthly sales of 1.2 billion pesos recorded in the public property registry… today, we have approximately 364,000 formal jobs registered with the IMSS.”
Regarding the factors that must be addressed to sustain growth, Duarte highlighted the need to safeguard strategic resources and diversify the economy.”Significant attention must be given to water resources and energy; we believe the State should also diversify its manufacturing sector.”
