, e-commerce expansion, and new investments have increased demand for specialized services; however, they have also intensified the competition for talent. In light of this scenario, Great Place to Work Mexico (GPTW) presented the ranking of the best places to work in transportation and logistics, an award that identifies organizations with the highest-rated workplace cultures within a strategic industry for the country.
According to GPTW, citing data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), transportation, postal, and warehousing activities contributed approximately 6.8% to Mexico’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2024, while generating over 2.1 million jobs, representing a growth of nearly 3.5% compared to the previous year.
Top Workplaces in Transportation and Logistics, an Industry with 2.1 Million Jobs
The organization explains that the sector’s dynamism is also driven by increased Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and the reconfiguration of global supply chains, factors that are spurring new logistics operations in Mexico.
Concurrently, companies face challenges related to staff turnover, demanding work schedules, pressure to meet delivery times, and the need to integrate talent with technological expertise. Therefore, GPTW highlights that organizations that strengthen aspects such as trust, recognition, professional development, and working conditions gain an advantage in attracting and retaining talent, as well as improving their productivity.

The ranking corresponds to the category of companies with up to one thousand employees and includes companies dedicated to road freight transport, international logistics, parcel delivery, foreign trade, and supply chain management.

The Great Place to Work Mexico study reveals significant differences between the recognized companies and the rest of the sector. For example, 90% of employees expressed their intention to remain with their organization longer, while 91% stated they would recommend their company as a good place to work. Furthermore, 92% believe that customers would rate the service as excellent, reflecting the relationship between organizational culture and customer experience. Similarly, 83% of workers assured they are willing to go the extra mile to fulfill their responsibilities, a percentage higher than the industry average.
Equity, Safety, and Workplace Pride Strengthen Organizational Culture
The Trust Index® analysis also identified strengths in the work environment of the recognized organizations. Among the highest-rated indicators, 96% of individuals perceive equitable treatment regardless of their sexual orientation, while the same percentage believes there is equality regardless of race. Additionally, 94% reported that their workplace is physically safe, a relevant characteristic for an industry where daily operations involve handling vehicles, goods, and logistics processes.
The results also show high levels of belonging. 95% feel proud of their team’s achievements, 94% express pride in working for their organization, and another 94% believe they receive appropriate treatment regardless of their position within the company.
