Mid-term Evaluation of the Sdg of the 2030 Agenda

Discover insights about mid-term evaluation 2030 agenda and their relevance in today's dynamic business environment.

The LNPP presents the results through an index, a control traffic light, and a system of arrows to indicate the progress made from 2015 to the cut-off date.

For example, in SDG 1: End poverty: of 17 Mexican cities with more than one million inhabitants, eight are evaluated in green, five in preventive, and four in orange.

Aguascalientes in the Sdgs727

Aguascalientes is in 18th place among Mexican cities with more than one million inhabitants, in SDG 1: End Poverty. The Aguascalientes entity obtains a green rating of 71.21. The city of Saltillo Coahuila leads the score with 85.36 points. And after having traveled halfway through the journey, heading towards compliance with the 2030 agenda, there are cities with 40 points or less.

The index is presented on a scale of 0 to 100, where 100 represents better progress in the Sustainable Development Goals. Guadalajara (1st) obtains a rating of 72.28 and León 65.73 (24th). Aguascalientes is located in 12th place with 68.51 points.

The LNPP evaluation is semaforized based on the indicators proposed by the UNDP of the United Nations and that apply to all countries. With this it is possible to consider progress or setbacks on a global scale.

It is worth making a comparison with other metropolitan areas of the country to learn about progress and lags. As can be seen in the case of SDG 13: Climate action where Aguascalientes and San Luis Potosí are in red, in a green context.

States That Lead each of the Sdgs1860

For each of the Sustainable Development Goals, we have a traffic light system by selected city with upward or downward trends for each of the 17 goals. You can see the contrasts between them and in compliance with the issues. So we have that:

  • Saltillo leads SDG 1: End poverty.

  • Mexicali leads SDG 2: Zero hunger.

  • Mérida leads SDG 3: Health and well-being.

  • San Luis Potosí leads SDG 4: Quality education.

  • Mexicali leads SDG 5: Gender equality.

  • Mexicali leads SDG 6: Clean water and sanitation.

  • Guadalajara leads SDG 7: Affordable and non-polluting energy.
