Coahuila led the national ranking with a production of 10.076 billion dollars and a 15.8% market share. Guanajuato appeared in second place with 8.601 billion dollars and 13.5% of the total. Nuevo León secured third position with 8.443 billion dollars, equivalent to 13.2%. Chihuahua followed, with 5.416 billion dollars and an 8.5% share. Querétaro ranked fifth with 5.119 billion dollars. Its participation reached 8%, and its annual growth was 11.87%. San Luis Potosí, Puebla, State of Mexico, Aguascalientes, and Tamaulipas followed. Collectively, the top 10 entities generated 87% of the national automotive parts production.

Mexico Produces Automotive Parts Valued at 63.833 Billion Dollars
National production reached 63.833 billion dollars between January and June 2026. The result represented an increase of 9.09% compared to the 58.514 billion dollars reported during the same period in 2025. Additionally, the average monthly production was 10.639 billion dollars. This figure surpassed the 9.752 billion dollars registered as an average between January and June 2025. In June 2026, the industry generated automotive parts worth 10.955 billion dollars. Therefore, monthly production grew by 7.85% compared to June of the previous year.
Bajío Region Generates Over 22 Billion Dollars
Querétaro is part of the Bajío region, which accounted for 36% of the national automotive parts production during the first half of 2026. Regional production reached 22.955 billion dollars and showed a year-over-year growth of 9.11%. Meanwhile, the Northern region contributed 28.179 billion dollars, equivalent to 44.1% of national production. The Central region generated 9.411 billion dollars and represented 14.7% of the total.
Foreign Investment in Querétaro Reaches 42 Million Dollars
During the first half of 2026, Querétaro received 42 million dollars in foreign direct investment for the automotive parts industry. This amount represented 2.6% of the 1.617 billion dollars captured by the sector nationwide. Furthermore, investment in automotive parts accounted for 4.81% of the foreign direct investment received by Querétaro. In the indicator on the industry’s participation within state investment, Querétaro ranked 13th among the 17 entities included in the report. By regions, the Bajío led foreign investment attraction for the sector with 591 million dollars and a national share of 36.6%. The Northern region received 520 million dollars, equivalent to 32.2%, while the Central region captured 365 million dollars, contributing 22.6%. For its part, foreign direct investment in the national automotive parts industry increased by 31.3% during the first half of 2026. Capture rose from 1.232 billion dollars in the first six months of 2025 to 1.617 billion dollars in the same period of 2026. This latter amount was the highest for a first semester since 2021.
