Remunerated Positions in Querétaro Show Moderate Growth
Querétaro's remunerated job positions grew 0.8% annually in Q3 2025, slightly above the national average, reflecting continued economic dynamism.

in Querétaro registered an annual growth of 0.8% during the third quarter of 2025, according to the Quarterly Measurements of Job Positions and Remunerations by Federal Entity (MTPTREF) published by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).
This indicator is part of Mexico’s National Accounts System and allows for the analysis of employment evolution directly linked to economic activity in each state of the country.
Nationwide, the total number of remunerated job positions reached 39.7 million during the same period, representing an annual increase of 0.5% compared to the third quarter of 2024.
Within this context, Querétaro was slightly above the national average, reflecting the continued economic dynamism characterizing the entity in sectors such as manufacturing, commerce, and services.
Querétaro Maintains Stability in Remunerated Job Creation
The INEGI report shows that the performance of remunerated employment in Querétaro has experienced gradual variations over the past year.
According to the statistical table included in the report, the state registered increases of 2.0% in the first quarter of 2025 and 3.1% in the second quarter, before moderating to 0.8% in the third quarter, reflecting adjustments in the pace of expansion of the state’s labor market.
This behavior is observed within a heterogeneous national landscape. Entities such as Michoacán, Hidalgo, Colima, and Tlaxcala reported the highest annual growth rates, exceeding 4%, while some states in the country registered decreases in the number of remunerated job positions.
Increase in Remunerations Strengthens Labor Income
In addition to employment trends, the INEGI report also analyzes the evolution of remunerations. During the third quarter of 2025, remunerations for salaried individuals in Querétaro increased by 4.2% annually, surpassing the national average of 3.3% recorded in the same period.
Nationwide, the total amount of remunerations for salaried individuals reached 10 trillion, 169 billion, 200 million current pesos, reflecting the magnitude of labor income generated by the country’s productive activities.
The growth in remunerations in Querétaro falls within an intermediate group of states with positive variations, below entities such as Aguascalientes, Yucatán, or Hidalgo, but with performance superior to the national average.
Regional Economic Dynamism and Labor Market
The Quarterly Measurements of Job Positions and Remunerations by Federal Entity constitute a statistical tool that allows for observing labor market behavior from the perspective of economic production.
Unlike other employment indicators, this instrument accounts for job positions directly associated with the generation of added value in productive activities.
For its preparation, INEGI uses various sources of information, including the National Survey of Occupation and Employment (ENOE), administrative records from the Mexican Social Security Institute, and various economic surveys on manufacturing, commerce, and services.
