Will Tenneco Make a New Investment in Aguascalientes? What is Known

The American company Tenneco, which already has operations in Aguascalientes, met with the governor

to review the growth of its plant in the state and the progress of a new production line, as part of the economic promotion tour undertaken by the State Government in the United States.

According to an official statement, during the meeting, both parties analyzed the company’s operations in Aguascalientes, which opens the possibility of consolidating new investment projects in the state.

“Our goal is for companies like Tenneco to find ideal conditions in Aguascalientes to expand, increase their productive capacity, and consolidate new projects that translate into more jobs and better growth opportunities for the families of the state,” stated the governor.

As part of her agenda in the United States, Tere Jiménez also held a meeting with Collin Shaw, Divisional President of the Auto Care Association (formerly MEMA), with whom she reviewed strategies to strengthen the supply chain, promote new productive projects, and expand commercial ties between Aguascalientes companies and the North American market.

Subsequently, the governor met with representatives from Automation Alley, Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), and Detroit Regional Partnership (DRP), organizations specializing in economic development and investment attraction, to explore collaboration opportunities in sectors such as electromobility, advanced manufacturing, technological innovation, and other high-value-added industries.

The tour also included a meeting with directors from Martinrea International, who presented their growth projects and analyzed new collaboration opportunities in terms of supply, innovation, and technological development.

As part of strengthening institutional ties, the governor also held a meeting with the Consul of Mexico in Detroit, Roberto Nicolás Vázquez, with whom she agreed to promote commercial and educational exchange between Aguascalientes and that region of the United States, in addition to promoting new investments and supporting local companies interested in expanding their operations into the state of Michigan.
