Tacho Álvarez was born in Encarnación de Díaz, Jalisco. He states that he will participate in Morena’s internal primary contest and awaits the results of the citizen polls that the party uses to define candidacies. His professional background includes business activities in the construction and retail sectors. In 2018, he accompanied then-presidential candidate Andrés Manuel López Obrador during events held in Aguascalientes. In 2019, Tacho Álvarez competed in Morena’s internal primary for the mayoralty, though he did not secure the candidacy. Currently, there is speculation about the possibility of him forming a ticket with Senator Nora Ruvalcaba Gámez under the Morena party banner.
