2026 Automotive Supply Chain Forum to Strengthen Guanajuato’s Supply Chain

The 2026 Automotive Supply Chain Forum will once again position León, Guanajuato, as a strategic business hub for the sector. The business gathering will take place on September 9th and 10th at Poliforum León, where buyers and suppliers will aim to establish commercial relationships within one of the state’s most significant production chains.

León to Host New Edition of Automotive Supply Chain Forum

The forum is organized by the Guanajuato Automotive Cluster (CLAUGTO), an association representing over 200 companies. Since 2013, this platform has focused on strengthening connections between manufacturers, buyer companies, specialized suppliers, and industry-related institutions.

For 2026, the program includes an agenda of conferences, B2B business meetings, exhibition spaces, an interactive map, and activities focused on innovation and talent development. Poliforum León will once again serve as the venue, according to the official portal of the Automotive Supply Chain Forum.

Furthermore, the B2B dynamic will facilitate one-on-one meetings between buyers and suppliers. These meetings will be pre-scheduled to optimize compatibility between companies’ requirements and participants’ production capabilities.

2025 Figures Set Commercial Precedent

While the organization has not yet published a definitive business opportunity target for the 2026 Automotive Supply Chain Forum, previous results provide insight into the event’s scope. However, it’s important to distinguish the metrics used across its official pages.

Information released by CLAUGTO for the 2025 edition reported over 2,850 business appointments. Meanwhile, the updated forum portal summarizes that year’s results with over 2,000 appointments, 800 buyers, 3,000 suppliers, and 12,500 visitors. The platform also registered more than 25,000 commercial opportunities and a potential of 275 million dollars.

Guanajuato Sustains a Broad Automotive Value Chain

The 2026 Automotive Supply Chain Forum will be held in a state with a high concentration of industrial activity. The automotive value chain comprises over 9,000 economic units and generates employment opportunities for approximately 207,000 people.

Additionally, the transportation equipment manufacturing industry contributes 20.5% to the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Guanajuato also maintains national leadership in vehicle production, with over 861,000 units reported. In turn, related exports exceed 27.841 billion dollars, according to figures published in April 2026 by the Secretariat of Economy of Guanajuato.

Investments Expand Supplier Demand

During the current state administration, 19 investment projects in the automotive and auto parts sectors have been finalized. Collectively, they represent 1.741 billion dollars and a commitment to create 6,460 jobs.

The projects originate from Germany, Japan, Spain, the United States, China, Korea, Mexico, and Italy. They are distributed across Apaseo el Grande, Irapuato, San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato Capital, León, Silao, Abasolo, and San José Iturbide.

Innovation to Feature at the 2026 Automotive Supply Chain Forum

The 2026 edition will also incorporate activities focused on talent development. Among these is the T-Summit Challenge, a competition centered on the use of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).

The program includes five AMRs and a final stage to be held during the Automotive Supply Chain Forum. Selected teams will be tasked with addressing challenges related to industrial processes and demonstrating their capabilities before business representatives.
