Guanajuato Airport Reports Positive Q3 2025 Results
Guanajuato International Airport reports 5.3% passenger growth and 32.6% revenue increase in Q3 2025, driven by new international routes and strategic investments.
Between July and September 2025, the airport facilitated 842.4 thousand passengers, compared to 831.3 thousand in the same period of 2024, representing a 1.3% growth in total traffic.
For the cumulative period of January to September, the terminal processed over 2.45 million passengers, equivalent to a 5.7% increase compared to the previous year.
International routes operated by Volaris propelled this growth, notably new flights to Ontario (California) with three weekly frequencies commencing in July.
Of this total, aeronautical service revenues increased by 16.9%, rising from 250.4 million to 292.7 million pesos, while non-aeronautical service revenues remained stable at 49.2 million pesos.
Furthermore, revenues from additions to concessioned assets (IFRIC 12) surged by 134.5%, reaching 130.2 million pesos, reflecting the investments committed under the Master Development Plan 2025-2029.
The Guanajuato airport also reported an operating profit of 219.6 million pesos, an increase of 16.7% compared to the same period last year.
Correspondingly, EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) increased by 16.2%, from 210.6 million to 244.7 million pesos, reflecting the operational efficiency and profitability of the airport under GAP’s management.
On a consolidated basis, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico recorded total revenues of 9,576.6 million pesos during the third quarter, representing a 16.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Consolidated EBITDA reached 5,085.6 million pesos, growing by 12.8%, and net profit surged by 36%, amounting to 2,695.9 million pesos.
The group also reported a strong financial position, with cash holdings of 11,699.5 million pesos and a bond issuance of 8.5 billion pesos, earmarked for financing capital expenditures and refinancing bank debt.
The growth of Guanajuato International Airport solidifies its role as a strategic connectivity hub for Mexico’s Bajío region. New international routes, increased operational capacity, and infrastructure modernization are integral to the Master Development Plan 2025-2029 strategy, involving investments exceeding 390 million pesos allocated for expansion projects and service enhancements.
This performance reaffirms GAP’s and the state government’s commitment to mobility, investment, and Guanajuato’s economic competitiveness, reinforcing its position as a continually growing logistics and business center.
