"Live Commerce" Revolutionizes Sales: Up to 4000% Growth Propels Creative Micro-Entrepreneurs
Live Commerce is transforming online sales, generating up to 4000% growth and empowering creative micro-entrepreneurs, especially in the crafting sector.
The method of selling online has drastically evolved. From static stores with photographs, e-commerce is moving towards interactive real-time sessions, a trend known as Live Commerce. This format not only presents the product but transforms the sale into a narrative experience, generating extraordinary growth, particularly for the crafting or handmade goods sector.
From Photo to Streaming: The New Era of Sales
Live Commerce relies on presenting products through live sessions, allowing users to explore every detail, angle, and production process. This interactivity has proven to be a powerful sales driver.
“Products are no longer just displayed; they are narrated, explained, and constructed before the potential customer’s eyes, and that is completely changing the way we sell,” explains Yanelly Reyes, Director of Communities for Cricut in Latin America.
The platform leading this shift is TikTok, where some brands have reported an increase of up to 4000% in their Gross Merchandise Value (GMV), according to data cited by Reyes.
In Mexico, the daily sales volume on this social network multiplied by 34 between February and September 2025, marking an unprecedented opportunity, especially for the segment of creative micro-entrepreneurs.
Crafting Finds Its Ideal Stage
For artisans and DIY (Do It Yourself) creators, Live Commerce is an unparalleled tool. Unlike mass-produced products that are already ready and packaged, the value of a handcrafted creation lies in its process.
“Crafting is best experienced in real-time, when users can be shown how a product is designed, cut, assembled, and personalized,” the article notes.
In a live session, creators can detail the materials, reveal the step-by-step process, and show the story behind each piece, such as a personalized tote bag or a sign decorated with vinyl. “The difference is clear: the user not only sees the finished product but also the story, the process, the care, and the technology that made it possible.”
Selling is Convincing: Keys to Success
In this format, time is gold, and every second in front of the camera is an opportunity to create a bond. For crafters using accessible tools like Cricut cutting machines and Design Space software, the broadcast becomes a “shared workshop” where the audience not only observes but also participates in the process, asks questions, shows interest… and buys.
Yanelly Reyes emphasizes the importance of this process: “One of the most important keys is to understand that the products sold must not only appeal but also convince. This happens when the viewer understands how it was made, how much effort it involved, and what decisions the creator made at each step.”
Live Commerce offers these entrepreneurs a platform to showcase texture, dedication, and design in real-time, which translates into sales and, crucially, in building trust. The dedication behind each cut and every material becomes the ultimate selling point, solidifying this format as the new standard for creative e-commerce.
