MacLean Reinforces Industrial Presence in Querétaro
The new facility is located adjacent to MacLean Engineering’s current operations in Querétaro. This proximity will allow for process integration, operational optimization, and an expanded response capacity for the company to meet growing demand.
According to the company, the acquisition represents a new impetus within its global growth plan. It also complements recent expansions of its facilities in Ontario and Quebec, Canada, underscoring a strategy focused on increasing production capacity across different regions.
Furthermore, it was announced that with this expansion, the company seeks to serve the needs of its clients, primarily in the mining industry, with greater speed, efficiency, and reliability.

The company also emphasized that the growth of its operations in Mexico responds to market evolution and the need for local capacity to produce, service, and address technical requirements with greater agility.
Mexico Gains Weight in MacLean’s Global Strategy
The expansion in Querétaro reflects the growing role of Mexico within MacLean Engineering’s international strategy. The company indicated that it has experienced significant growth in global markets, making its Mexican operation key to expanding its reach.
Kevin MacLean, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, stated that the expansion of the factory in Mexico will increase the company’s capacity to reach more customers while simultaneously strengthening its local manufacturing presence in the region.
”Hecho en México” Seal Strengthens Local Manufacturing
In 2025, MacLean Engineering received the “Hecho en México” (Made in Mexico) seal from the Mexican government. According to the company, this distinction certifies that its products are made and manufactured in the country.
The company highlighted that it was the first mining equipment manufacturing company to receive this distinction. This recognition reinforces its positioning as a manufacturer with a local presence and installed production capacity in Mexico.
The “Hecho en México” seal is an official certification established in 1978 and authorized by the Ministry of Economy. This distinction attests that a product has been elaborated, manufactured, or assembled in Mexico. It is also associated with quality, productive identity, economic contribution, and job creation.
Expansion in Querétaro to Open New Job Opportunities
The company reported that it is currently developing plans for the renovation and improvement of the new facilities. Details regarding the operational start-up timelines will be announced as the project progresses.
