New Rules Published for Granting Subsidies to Companies and Entrepreneurs in Aguascalientes

The new Operational Rules for the Granting of Productive Subsidies in Aguascalientes were published this Monday, June 29th, in the Official State Gazette. The agreement outlines the procedure that the Secretariat of Economic Development, Science and Technology (SEDECYT) will follow to allocate financial support to

, companies, and investment projects.

The document defines the requirements for applying for subsidies, evaluation criteria, methods of resource disbursement, and the obligations that beneficiaries must fulfill. It also specifies that the distribution of support will be contingent upon budgetary availability and compliance with the rules established by the department.

According to the publication, these provisions apply to individuals engaged in business activities, entrepreneurs, micro, small, medium, and large enterprises, as well as commercial entities, cooperatives, educational institutions, research centers, and other legal entities participating in economic development programs.

Among the contemplated schemes are the CONFÍA program, aimed at strengthening and consolidating companies, and the EMPRENDE-T fund, focused on young people between 18 and 29 years old seeking to develop a productive project. The rules also consider support for investment projects related to infrastructure, innovation, technological development, competitiveness, and investment attraction.

The agreement also stipulates that submitting an application does not guarantee the allocation of support. Funds can only be disbursed once the project is approved and the corresponding legal instrument is formalized. Furthermore, beneficiaries must demonstrate the proper use of funds and allow for follow-up and verification actions conducted by SEDECYT.

The rules will take effect on June 30th and supersede the provisions issued by the department in 2024 for the operation of these financial support programs.
