Aguascalientes Sows the Future for Entrepreneurs Through CONFÍA
The “CONFÍA 2025” Program by the Government of Aguascalientes, led by Governor Tere Jiménez, reinforced its commitment to entrepreneurs, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) by offering productive subsidies of up to $50,000 for entrepreneurial projects and up to $100,000 for MSMEs, earmarked for equipment, machinery, tools, and technology to enhance their productivity and competitiveness. Thanks to its digital platform accessible from any municipality, the program facilitates participation without travel, solidifying its position as a strategic tool for the state to foster local business development and support ideas that generate employment and economic growth.
A Leader in Innovation and Nearshoring
Aguascalientes has solidified its position as a national leader in nearshoring and investment attraction, excelling in key sectors that establish it as a prominent economic hub in the country. The state ranks third nationally in innovation and economy, and fourth in patent registrations, having advanced 11 positions in the last year, according to the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness (IMCO). This performance underscores Aguascalientes’ strength in technology, advanced industry, and competitiveness, cementing its place as a center for national and international development and growth.
Agricultural Giant Establishes Presence in Our State
TAFE (Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited), the world’s third-largest tractor manufacturer, inaugurated its first integrated assembly plant in Mexico in Aguascalientes in 2025, with an investment of approximately 15 million dollars. The facility, located in Vesta Park, will generate around 250–300 direct and indirect jobs and will feature an experience center for technical training. This project strengthens TAFE’s presence in the country, enhances economic cooperation between Mexico and India, and solidifies Aguascalientes as a hub for industrial innovation and agricultural manufacturing.
Continental Expands in Aguascalientes
With an investment of 90 million dollars, Continental, through its ContiTech division, inaugurated its second plant in Aguascalientes, located in VESTA Industrial Park, focused on the production of hydraulic hoses for industrial use. The project will generate approximately 200 jobs in its first phase, double the company’s production capacity in the region, and strengthen its operations in the Americas, solidifying Aguascalientes as an attractive destination for foreign industrial investments.
Mexico Also Bets on Aguascalientes Talent
Mexicana de Industrias y Marcas (MIYM) announced an investment of 1,100 million pesos to construct a new agro-industrial plant in Rincón de Romos, Aguascalientes, which will generate approximately 550 direct jobs and 2,200 indirect jobs. The facility, the company’s largest, will feature cutting-edge UHT technology to process milk and produce cheeses, yogurts, creams, and desserts, operating in two investment phases. MIYM chose Aguascalientes for its talent, logistical connectivity, and competitive conditions, thereby boosting the local agro-industry.
A New Agri-food Era Led by Aguascalientes
The E-Agroindustrial / EBeam Agroindustrial plant in Aguascalientes processed and exported its first shipment of Mexican fruit (pitaya) irradiated with X-ray technology, a phytosanitary treatment approved by SENASICA and USDA/APHIS, which guarantees safety and quality for entry into the North American market. This technology, unique in Latin America for its ability to irradiate large volumes without depalletizing, opens new export markets for various Mexican fruits and adds economic value to local producers, enhancing the competitiveness of the agro-industrial sector.
More Investments, More Diversification
Recent economic performance places Aguascalientes above the national average. With growth exceeding 6% and the arrival of over 66 new investments, both national and foreign, the state has successfully positioned itself in a challenging global environment under the leadership of Tere Jiménez. The automotive industry remains a fundamental pillar, with key projects such as the relocation of Nissan plants, although the state administration has focused its efforts on diversifying the productive base towards sectors such as aeronautics, agribusiness, textiles, and viticulture.
An Attractive Hub for Meetings Tourism
