Buen Fin 2025 concluded with a positive outcome for San Luis Potosí, as the state solidified its position as one of the most active in the country during this year’s commercial campaign. This was reported by the state’s National Chamber of Commerce, Services, and Tourism (Canaco-Servytur). In this regard, it positioned San Luis Potosí as one of the states with the highest participation in 2025, with sales growth exceeding 30%, a performance superior to that of states like Aguascalientes and Morelos.
Furthermore, according to Canaco-Servytur, preliminary results indicate progress across nearly all indicators. The chamber asserted that the program was extended by five days, which boosted foot traffic in shopping malls, urban corridors, and department stores. A significant improvement in digital transactions was also observed, driven by consumers who prefer to compare, pay for, and receive products without physical travel.
Key Outcomes of Buen Fin 2025 in San Luis Potosí
Consequently, participating businesses reported solid performance. The survey conducted by Canaco revealed that:
- 78% of businesses reported sales increases between 10% and 30%.
- 21% recorded increases exceeding 30%.
- Online sales grew by 30%, one of the highest increases in recent years.
- 89% of consumers paid by card, confirming a preference for banked payment methods.
- The estimated average expenditure was 2,500 pesos per person.
- 70% of participating businesses were retailers.
- 38% generated temporary jobs, and 5% might retain them.
- 31% of businesses offered interest-free installment plans.
- 12% applied 2×1 or 3×2 promotions.

According to the business organization, Potosinos spent approximately 2,500 pesos per person during Buen Fin 2025 on
:
- 60%: electronics and screens.
- 14%: apparel and footwear.
- 8%: travel.
- 5%: furniture and home goods. The tourism segment also demonstrated dynamism. Travel ticket sales increased by 7.43%, surpassing the 5.7% recorded in 2024.
A Real Boost for Potosino Commerce
Fernando Díaz de León Hernández, President of Canaco-Servytur, stated that the campaign generated “very strong commercial activity” in the Historic Center and the main squares of San Luis Potosí’s capital.
He also acknowledged that some sectors reported more moderate purchases, but insisted that Buen Fin achieved its objective of stimulating the local economy and strengthening formal commerce.
The business leader also emphasized that the program provided a much-needed boost for hundreds of Potosino businesses that rely on year-end sales.
He noted that the positive trend could extend until Christmas, when seasonal consumption typically increases again.
Meanwhile, the Chamber urged Potosinos to continue purchasing from established businesses, as these offer certainty, employment, and guaranteed products. It also promoted the consumption of items “Made in Mexico” and in San Luis Potosí, as a way to strengthen the local value chain.

The rise in digital purchases confirms a shift in consumer behavior. The Potosino shopper compares more, demands genuine promotions, and relies on electronic platforms to acquire higher-value goods. Buen Fin 2025 clearly demonstrates that domestic consumption remains a pillar for the Potosino economy, and that Potosino businesses are beginning to adapt to a more digital, more competitive, and more informed market.
