With this expansion, the company aims to triple its production capacity and create over 1,500 direct jobs.

The new facilities, located in the Kaizen II Industrial Park, were inaugurated by Governor Mauricio Kuri González, who highlighted the state’s competitive conditions for attracting investments and facilitating business expansion. During the event, the governor noted that Querétaro ranks second nationally in the

From Venezuela to Querétaro: Grupo Rifel’s Expansion

Grupo Rifel’s journey began over two decades ago in Venezuela, where it originated as a family project specializing in industrial baking and pastry production. Subsequently, in 2016, its founders decided to expand their operations to Mexico and chose Querétaro to establish their first production plant. Since then, the company has increased its participation in the food industry and developed new commercial opportunities. Now, with the inauguration of its second plant, the company is embarking on a new phase of growth focused on expanding its production capacity and strengthening its national and international operations. According to David Rifel Auvert, the decision to continue investing in Querétaro was driven by the availability of talent, industrial infrastructure, and connectivity offered by the state.

New Plant Integrates Automation and Robotic Systems

Grupo Rifel’s second plant incorporates industrial technology and equipment from manufacturers in the United States, Europe, and Asia, with the aim of enhancing its production process efficiency. Key features of the infrastructure include the integration of automated systems and robotic technology to optimize industrial operations. These tools will improve process control, expedite format changes, and accommodate varying production volumes. Additionally, the technological implementation is geared towards maintaining product consistency and facilitating large-scale manufacturing. With these capabilities, Grupo Rifel aims to achieve its objective of tripling production and meeting the growing demand from its commercial partners.

Rifel in Querétaro to Expand Exports to the United States and Central America

The new infrastructure is also a crucial component of Grupo Rifel’s strategy to bolster its presence in international markets. Specifically, the company aims to develop new export opportunities to the United States and Central America, while simultaneously expanding its commercial reach within Mexico. The company intends to leverage its increased production capacity to handle larger volumes and strengthen relationships with its clients. Governor Mauricio Kuri González, for his part, emphasized the importance of maintaining favorable conditions for investment through legal certainty, institutional strengthening, and economic competitiveness.
