How is Labor Poverty in Aguascalientes at the Close of Q3 2025?
Aguascalientes significantly reduced labor poverty to 31.7% in Q3 2025, marking a 5.2% annual decrease and outperforming national trends.
According to INEGI, Aguascalientes closed Q3 2025 with a significant reduction in labor poverty, reaching a state indicator of 31.7%. This represents an annual decrease of 5.2%, down from 36.9% in Q3 2024, positioning it among the most pronounced declines nationwide. Broadening the scope to the national landscape, labor poverty reached 34.3% in Q3 2025, a figure that also showed an annual decrease, albeit of lesser magnitude, with a reduction of 0.8 percentage points. According to INEGI, the level varied by area: in rural zones, it rose to 48.4%, while in urban zones, it stood at 30.2%. Nevertheless, the performance among states was contrasting. According to the same INEGI study, 24 federal entities reduced their labor poverty over the last year, with the largest declines observed in Tlaxcala (5.6%), Aguascalientes (5.2%), and Hidalgo (4.6%).
