Impact of Infrastructure Investments in Jesús María in 2025
Jesús María invested over 90 million pesos in public infrastructure, enhancing mobility, safety, and recreational spaces, with notable citizen participation in project design.
During the first year of the current administration,
has invested over 90 million pesos in public infrastructure improvements. This sum was primarily allocated to paving, pothole repair, and hydraulic system rehabilitation across all municipal districts. Twenty-seven streets and avenues were paved, significantly enhancing mobility and road safety for the region’s residents. Additionally, the second phases of three parks were completed, and a new park was constructed, expanding recreational spaces for families in Jesús María. These initiatives address the need for a more modern and accessible municipality for all.
Citizen Participation in Public Works Planning
A notable aspect of this administration, led by Mayor César Medina, is the active participation of citizens, particularly children and adolescents, in the design of public works projects. An example of this engagement is the “Niños por Siempre” (Children Forever) park in the Paseos district, a project conceptualized based on the proposals and needs of the municipality’s youth. This park will feature a mini-soccer field, urban equipment, and walkways, promoting recreation and family cohesion.
Projects in Districts and the Municipal Seat
In the Maravillas district, an investment of approximately 5 million pesos was allocated for projects encompassing hydraulic paving, curbs, sidewalks, and improvements to water supply and drainage networks. Access ramps on the highway to Paso Blanco are also planned.
Furthermore, in the municipal seat, 19 million pesos were invested in significant works such as the rehabilitation of Mina Street in the Central Zone, where hydraulic concrete was installed, and in the Los Arroyitos neighborhood, benefiting local families with new infrastructure developments.
Through these projects, the municipality of Jesús María continues to progress towards modern and functional infrastructure for its residents. The entry
