Nissan to Offer Mammograms at Soccer Games for Breast Cancer Prevention

Nissan Mexicana will expand its mobile medical units from two to 10, dedicated to performing mammograms throughout October. This initiative is part of a prevention and early detection campaign for breast cancer, conducted in collaboration with FUCAM and the Mexican Football Federation (FMF).

The mobile units will be present at various venues for the Liga BBVA MX and Liga Femenil BBVA. Each unit has the capacity to perform up to 70 mammograms per day, according to information from Nissan Mexicana.

The automotive company also announced the donation of 50 breast prostheses for women who have faced the disease and are undergoing recovery.

“For Nissan, this campaign represents an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to prevention,” stated Erika Vega, Brand Experience Senior Manager at Nissan Mexicana. The executive added that soccer allows the message to reach thousands of fans and promotes timely check-ups as an action related to health care.

Throughout October, the campaign will have a presence at 104 matches across the Liga BBVA MX, Liga Femenil BBVA, and Liga BBVA Expansión MX. As part of the activities, 104 individuals who have battled breast cancer will participate as awareness ambassadors.

The matches will also incorporate pink elements on goal nets, banners, captain’s armbands, and balls. Clubs will also utilize a commemorative patch celebrating two decades of the campaign.

Another initiative includes a collection of 52 jerseys worn by teams from the three competitions. The garments will begin to be auctioned on October 19th, with the proceeds designated for the purchase of external breast prostheses.

The mobile medical units will be available at matches scheduled throughout October at venues such as the Estadio Olímpico Universitario,

and Estadio Nemesio Diez, among other locations. The availability of mammograms will be subject to the service capacity of each unit. The entry
