Querétaro Municipality Exceeds 9.3 Billion Pesos in New Business Investment

Querétaro Municipality surpasses 9.3 billion pesos in new business investment, marking over 83% growth in 2025 and driving economic stability.

Querétaro Municipality recorded an investment exceeding 9.3 billion pesos in 2025, stemming from the opening of new businesses, representing a growth of over 83% compared to the previous year. This result was presented by the Municipal Economic Development Secretariat to presidents of business chambers, university rectors, and local trade representatives, as part of a review and planning exercise for 2026.

Querétaro Municipality Highlights Entrepreneurial Ecosystem with International Projection

Among the results presented, the strengthening of BLOQUERS, the government incubator that has supported over 1,788 projects, stands out. This ecosystem expanded its connections with global allies such as Google for Startups, Stripe, and AWS, in addition to integrating specialized workshops on artificial intelligence and inclusion programs aimed at democratizing access to innovation.

The strategy aims to consolidate a model where public incubation not only fosters ideas but also generates sustainable and scalable businesses. Furthermore, the municipal Employment Platform continues its progress by connecting companies with job seekers through real-time data-driven tools, strengthening the link between investment and job creation.

Productive Sector and Agricultural Modernization

In the rural sector, the administration presented the program called “Virtuous Circle for Producers,” which has benefited over 6,000 producers through mechanization, plant health initiatives, and direct support.

Added to this is the upcoming launch of the Municipal Agricultural Innovation Center, developed in coordination with the National Polytechnic Institute and CICATA Querétaro.

Furthermore, a joint investment with the State Government for productive equipment was announced, reinforcing the integration between urban development and the strengthening of the primary sector.

Strategic Alliances for Talent and Technology

Querétaro Municipality’s economic strategy also includes alliances with financial and technological institutions. Notable among these is the agreement with Santander to grant 1,000 scholarships in financial education and collaboration with NVIDIA for specialized training in artificial intelligence.

These actions aim to strengthen human capital and position the city as a competitive hub in the digital economy and applied technology. The approach combines investment, entrepreneurship, training, and knowledge transfer, which are key elements for consolidating an innovative ecosystem.

Querétaro Municipality Drives Data-Driven Planning

Alejandro Sterling Sánchez, head of the Secretariat of Sustainable Development of Querétaro Municipality, emphasized that the municipal administration has stressed that growth is measured not only in investment figures but also in the ability to translate these resources into economic stability and real opportunities.

Ongoing dialogue with the business, academic, and commercial sectors is part of a strategy aimed at making data-driven decisions and facilitating business openings.

He commented that the goal set for 2026 is to consolidate an environment where investing is more reliable, starting a business is more agile, and young talent finds development opportunities within the city itself.
