Six Economic Indicators of Aguascalientes

The first indicator for Aguascalientes is the economic growth rate. Its maximum value was achieved during the 3rd Quarter of 2023 when it grew at 8%. It closed the year 2024 with negative growth (-1.2%), with a goal of growing at 4.5% annually.

The second indicator for Aguascalientes is the formal jobs generated as a percentage of the state goal. Its maximum value was achieved during November 2024 when 8,194 jobs were generated. It closed the month of February with 4,571 accumulated out of the 2,600 programmed to be generated.

The goal of the third indicator is to reduce the percentage of the population that cannot acquire a food basket with its labor income, that is, labor poverty. Its maximum value was presented during the 4th quarter of 2023 when the Labor Poverty of Aguascalientes was suffered by 40.1%. A year later, during the 4th Quarter of 2024, the indicator fell to 35.9%, still a high value, given the percentage of the Aguascalientes EAP that is within the formal employment markets close to 59%.
