Toyota Hilux 2027: Pricing, Trims, and New Features for the Revised Pickup in Mexico

Toyota launches the 2027 Hilux in Mexico with enhanced performance, technology, and updated trim levels, focusing on entrepreneurial and family use.

Toyota has revamped the Hilux in Mexico, one of its most significant models in the national market, with a new generation that combines improvements in performance, efficiency, technology, and safety.

For the 2027 model year, the Japanese brand has also modified its offering structure: all available trims in Mexico will feature a double cab, discontinuing the traditional single cab configuration. This decision aims to broaden the pickup’s appeal, which Toyota positions as a tool for entrepreneurial and business work activities, as well as for personal and family use.

Four Trims for Mexico

The 2027 Toyota Hilux range will consist of four trims: Base, SR, Diesel TM, and Diesel AT mHEV.

The first two trims are equipped with a 2.7-liter gasoline engine, delivering 164 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque.

The diesel variants utilize a 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine with 201 horsepower. The Diesel TM version produces 310 lb-ft of torque, while the Diesel AT mHEV incorporates a mild hybrid system and achieves 369 lb-ft of torque.

According to information provided by Toyota, the gasoline versions offer a payload capacity of up to 810 kilograms (approximately 1,785 lbs), while the diesel variants can handle up to 770 kilograms (approximately 1,697 lbs) of payload and 750 kilograms (approximately 1,653 lbs) of towing capacity.

Enhanced Technology and Safety

The renovation extends to the Hilux’s interior, featuring ergonomic, connectivity, and comfort enhancements, particularly beneficial for those who use the vehicle during long workdays.

In terms of safety, Toyota includes the Star Safety System from the entry-level trims, while the Toyota Safety Sense suite of driver-assistance features is now integrated across the pickup’s range.

With these updates, the Hilux aims to maintain its focus as a work vehicle while offering characteristics that also support its use as a multipurpose vehicle.

What is the Price of the 2027 Toyota Hilux?

The new Toyota Hilux is now available in Mexico. According to pricing published by Motorpasión México, the range starts at 570,900 pesos and goes up to 880,900 pesos, depending on the trim.

The reported prices are:

  • Hilux Base: $570,900
  • Hilux SR: $620,900
  • Hilux Diesel TM: $720,900
  • Hilux Diesel AT mHEV: $880,900

Thus, the new generation represents a significant refresh for one of Toyota’s most recognized models in Mexico, combining its work-oriented and productivity-focused approach with an increased emphasis on technology, safety, efficiency, and double-cab configurations.

According to Expansión, Toyota presented the 2027 Hilux as a mobility alternative particularly targeted at entrepreneurs and SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises), a relevant segment for the Mexican economy.
