Women from the Mezcal Sector Join CCME Aguascalientes Chapter
CCME Aguascalientes integrates women from the mezcal sector, strengthening the industry through female leadership, professionalism, and fair trade initiatives.

As part of this synergy, businesswoman** Angélica Medina, Director of Círculo de Mezcaleros de Aguascalientes A.C., **joins the Council. Her civil association aims to promote the comprehensive development of the industry through innovation, sustainability, and business training.
During the meeting, Anabel Villalobos Vela, President of the CCME Aguascalientes Chapter, acknowledged the association’s work and the openness of its president, Said Tapia Ramírez, in making visible the work of women in this sector.
“It fills us with pride to add women who work passionately to keep alive a Mexican tradition with high economic and cultural potential. We thank Lic. Said Tapia Ramírez for joining the Council’s efforts and for opening spaces for more women to be recognized as protagonists in the development of mezcal,” stated Villalobos Vela.
As a result of this integration, the CCMEA and Círculo de Mezcaleros de Aguascalientes A.C. announced they will work jointly on programs focused on professionalization, fair trade, and promotion of products at national and international levels, with the aim of consolidating value chains with a gender perspective.
