How is Jalisco Preparing for the AI Revolution?

Jalisco hosts the OCDE–UDG–ANUIES Forum, positioning itself as a key hub for global dialogue on AI's impact on education, employment, and sustainable development in Latin America.

Under the motto “The Future Has Changed: University, Work, and Science in the Face of the Artificial Intelligence Revolution”, Jalisco will host the eighth edition of the OCDE–UDG–ANUIES Forum. Jalisco, considered one of the most important technology hubs in Mexico and Latin America, thus positions itself as a meeting point for the global conversation on the future of AI applied to human development. A Forum Placing Jalisco at the Center of the Innovation Dialogue

This year’s edition stands out for the strategic alliance between the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OCDE), the University of Guadalajara (UdeG), and ANUIES, which expands its reach and makes it a space for engagement for:

  • University Leaders
  • Economic and Labor Development Specialists
  • Public Policy Makers
  • Researchers in Science, Ethics, and Innovation
  • Representatives of the Productive Sector

The central theme: how to transform the AI revolution into a tool for just, inclusive, and sustainable development in Mexico and Latin America.

When Will the Forum Take Place?

This strategic gathering will bring together from December 3 to 5 to discuss the real impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on educational models, employment, and scientific research. The forum will take place at the Barceló Hotel, Mexico I Ballroom, within the framework of the 39th Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) —one of the world’s most important cultural platforms— with free admission and digital streaming via YouTube and Facebook on the official UDG channels.
