Sheinbaum Meets with Nordic Business Leaders: Key Discussions
Mexican President Sheinbaum held a meeting with a delegation of over 100 Nordic business leaders to discuss investment opportunities and strategic sectors in Mexico.

, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, hosted a business delegation comprising over 100 executive directors from companies in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden at the National Palace this Tuesday, March 10. The meeting was led by the Wallenberg Group.
Notable companies represented at the meeting included ABB, Aker, AstraZeneca, Ericsson,
, Maersk, Nokia, Novo Nordisk, Vestas, and Volvo.
According to official information, this marks the first Nordic business mission of this scale to visit Mexico.
During the meeting, the president emphasized that Mexico keeps its doors open to foreign investment, while also answering questions from business leaders regarding various strategic sectors, including energy, pharmaceuticals, agro-industry, and telecommunications.
The Wallenberg Group is one of Europe’s most significant business conglomerates, with investments in sectors such as technology, telecommunications, industry, and life sciences. Through Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken and the investment firm Investor AB, the group holds stakes in various global companies.
Collectively, companies linked to this ecosystem generate revenues exceeding $385 billion, employ approximately 1.5 million people, and operate in around 180 countries, including Mexico.
Marcus Wallenberg, Chairman of Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken, stated that various investments by Nordic companies in Mexico have been announced, aligning with the so-called ‘Plan Mexico,’ and reiterated the commitment to strengthen the region’s business presence in the country.
It is worth noting that the dialogue was moderated by the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Juan Ramón de la Fuente.
