Are Roads Currently Impacted by Farmer Blockades in San Luis Potosí?

Farmer blockades are causing road disruptions in San Luis Potosí. The State Civil Guard is monitoring the situation and implementing measures to manage traffic and ensure public order.

As of this Monday, San Luis Potosí is experiencing several blockades and mobilizations by farmers across various road sections, leading to disruptions in different areas. The State Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPCE), through the State Civil Guard’s Road Division, maintains constant monitoring to protect mobility and ensure public order. As of this morning’s latest update, only one point presents a full closure; the others report partial impacts or intermittent traffic.

Roads Affected by Farmer Blockades in San Luis Potosí

The SSPCE confirmed the presence of demonstrators at five road points. Each area is operating with varying levels of impact. These are the roads affected today by blockades from farmers and transporters in San Luis Potosí:

    1. Posta / Road to Zacatecas This critical point is experiencing partial impact. The blockade is intermittent. State Civil Guard operations are maintaining fluid traffic and reducing risks for motorists.
    1. Km 0 Road to Rioverde (Los Milagros Gas Station) This is the only active blockade of the day. The farmers assured that they would not carry out additional closures and that their mobilization would be peaceful. The group will proceed to the point where the closure remains and requested escort support to prevent incidents.
    1. Periférico Oriente – Río Santiago No closures are in effect. Farmers remain parked on the side of the road, allowing for normal traffic flow.
    1. El Águila Zone A controlled stoppage involving approximately 40 people is reported. Traffic is flowing intermittently under police supervision. No incidents have been reported thus far.
    1. Casablancas and surrounding areas No blockades or concentrations of people are observed. Road traffic is operating normally.

Farmer and Transporter Blockades Persist in the Four Regions of San Luis Potosí

The national mega-blockade also included the active participation of farmers from the Huasteca region in San Luis Potosí, including the municipality of Ébano, where the Valles-Tampico highway is closed near the community of Casas Blancas, between the municipalities of Tamuín and Ébano. These brigades were formed over the weekend to address the groups that initiated road closures in the Central zone, on the superhighway and the junction towards Ciudad Valles, where discussions are ongoing. Another blockade was established on the road to Villa de Arriaga, at the junction towards the Águila community, while on the road to Zacatecas, near the La Posta gas station, dialogue allowed only the inbound lane to be affected.
