Training Programs Launched for MSMEs in Aguascalientes

In an economic environment where technological adaptability defines business survival, the Secretariat of Economic Development, Science and Technology (SEDECYT) has deployed a dual academic training strategy for 2026, specifically focused on micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). The state agency announced the immediate commencement of a series of training programs focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and finance, as well as a strategic alliance with the Panamerican University (UP) to professionalize e-commerce within the state. This educational offensive seeks to equip Aguascalientes’ MSMEs with cutting-edge tools to compete in increasingly digitalized markets.

The most significant initiative is the Diploma in E-commerce for MSMEs, delivered by the Panamerican University Aguascalientes campus. Thanks to a scholarship scheme managed by the State Government, local entrepreneurs will be able to access high-level training designed to open digital sales channels. Antonio de los Reyes Moreno, Rector of UP, emphasized that the program is not theoretical but offers “practical knowledge focused on real business development”. In parallel, and with immediate urgency for the start of the year, SEDECYT is launching a free in-person training program this Friday, January 9th. This cycle is designed to address two of the most common challenges in entrepreneurship: poor financial management and inefficient time optimization. The program includes highly relevant current presentations such as “Time Management with Artificial Intelligence” and “Financial Mistakes that Kill Your Venture’s Growth”, in addition to workshops on strategic planning and sales pipeline development. The venue will be the Jesús Reyes Heroles Auditorium of the Aguascalientes State Sports Institute (IDEA), operating during morning hours from 9:00 to 12:00.
